Noord is the district where most tourism is. There are a lot of hotels, restaurant and great beach events. But also some great heritage.
The renowned two-mile-long strip known as Palm Beach Aruba is home to glamorous high-rise hotels and dotted by water sports concessions. There you can find the white sandy beaches as well as at Eagle Beach.
Alto Vista Chapel is a small Catholic chapel also known as “Pilgrims Church” that stands on the hills above the north shore of the sea and to the northeast of the town of Noord. The present chapel was completed in 1952 and stands in the same location as the original chapel, that was built by Domingo Silvestre in 1750.
The Old Mill is a piece of Aruba’s Dutch heritage. The windmill was built in 1804 in the Netherlands, meticulously taken apart, shipped to Aruba and reconstructed in 1960. The Old Mill currently houses a restaurant.
