Isla di Oro

At Aruba’s southwestern coast at Pos Chikito is a 230,000-square-meter mangrove forest with a small reef and island known as Isla di Oro. It is almost impossible to get to the beach even, because of the broken concrete path. You can swim to it from Puerto Chicito, but it is a long swim. The safest way would be to go by boat.

There use to be a horeca destination. Right now there are plans for a hotel/spa at that place. Hopefully the government will stop the plans, clean up the ruins and let the mangrove be.
